Senior Pastor
Tom is married to Grace. She brings balance and beauty to his life. They have three adult children (Jennifer, Matthew and Jamie-Lea) and two granddaughters (Elena and Cassidie). Tom and Grace grew up on Vancouver Island and have lived in the lower mainland for twelve years.
Besides his family Tom has two great passions – tennis and fishing. Both are very important tools in his spiritual journey. Tennis has taught him that he’ll never be Pete Sampras, but that’s OK and fishing has taught him that good things comes to him who waits – sometimes for a very, very long time. Perhaps these formative spiritual exercises explain his desire to help others discover the wonder, majesty and mystery Christ in the every day, ordinary, even mundane journey of life.
Tom is the senior pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He sees himself as one node in the network that connects people to God and others. He desires to be a fellow traveler on the amazing spiritual journey we are all on as we discover what it means to be a human being in a universe created by a loving God.

Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Worship

Marilyn was born and raised in Toronto (please don't hold that against her)! She married her college sweetheart, Rob, in 1996 and they have two beautiful daughters: Jessie and Katie. She and her family moved to Richmond in January 2005 after accepting the call to come as Broadmoor's Associate Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Worship. It has been a joy and a privilege to join with this congregation as we walk together on this amazing journey of faith we call Christianity.
Three of Marilyn's primary interests are music, reading and hockey. Music speaks to her heart, reading stimulates her mind, and hockey....well, hockey is simply the greatest sport on the face of this planet! (And we won't mention which team Marilyn cheers for)!
Her greatest delight and privilege in ministry is to simply walk alongside the people she encounters, and to share in their journey of faith. She hopes that people will find Broadmoor to be a place where they encounter God and are transformed by the real and tangible expressions of God at work in our midst.

Youth Pastor of Intercultural Youth Ministry

Myron Sinnen was called to Broadmoor as the full time Youth Pastor of Intercultural Youth Ministry in the fall of 2003, yes 7 years ago. Myron has experienced many amazing things in his life since then, the best of which was marrying his wife Nadine. Nadine has been a HUGE blessing in his life serving along side him ever since they met. The two of them along with their dog Bauer are quite the energetic team! Myron is very passionate about Jesus, working with teens, young adults and his leaders. His desire to see everyone come to know the amazing life Jesus has for them is unwavering. Myron also sings lead for his pop rock band called (Reset to Beautiful). He is always up for playing soccer, foosball, sushi, cheering on his Canucks and having fun. His office is almost always lively with Mute Math, the Killers, or Toby Mac playing in the background, laughter and people stopping by. Spend ANY amount of time with Myron and you will quickly discover his love for life and his genuine love for getting to know new people. "Where is the love?"

Children's Ministry Coordinator

Born in BC and raised in the United States, Cynthia returned to her roots in 1986 after completing degrees in Child Development and Public Administration and working with several non-profit organizations serving children and youth. Only three months after coming back to Canada, Cynthia met her husband Larry and they were married the following year. A few years later, their daughter Alexis was born at which time Cynthia became a stay-at-home mom. Her plans to return to work, when their daughter entered kindergarten, were changed when Cynthia felt led to homeschool Alexis until high school. In February 2005, the family moved from Abbotsford to Richmond to be closer to Larry’s job and one month later began attending Broadmoor.
Since her youth, Cynthia has had a passion for the hearts of children and continues to carry that passion as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Broadmoor. Her desire is to provide a nurturing and positive learning environment where children can feel inspired to learn more about the Bible and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Cynthia also enjoys reading, writing, spending time with her family, and taking long walks along the water with their little five pound dog named Zoe.
