Thanks for visiting the website of Broadmoor Baptist Church! While we are a Baptist Church that is part of a wider family known as the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada, we are also a diverse community of people from a variety of denominational backgrounds who are continually seeking a full and intimate experience of being followers of Jesus. Below are some key things you might want to know if you’re new to our church. We hope to meet you soon!
Our Sunday Morning Worship Service starts at 10:30 am and usually lasts just a little longer than an hour. During each service, there is a chance to sing, listen to a message and spend time in reflection and prayer. We also celebrate Communion monthly. Coffee, tea and other refreshments are served after the worship service to allow a time for people to connect with others on a less formal basis. And every now and then, we feast at a potluck meal together after the service. Come as you are!
If you have children, on Sunday morning a group of dedicated volunteers provide our Broadmoor Kids with a welcoming, nurturing and fun environment to learn more about Jesus and grow in faith. After spending some time with their families at the beginning of the worship service, at approximately 10:45am kids from both our English and Mandarin congregations and their teachers head upstairs for a time of interactive learning designed to help kids understand the Bible and grow in their faith.
For Mandarin speakers, we have a dedicated service on Sunday mornings held in the North Chapel. This also takes place at 10:30am. For more information, visit our Mandarin website.
